Neighbourhood Watch Public Liability Insurance

Free Public Liability Insurance (PLI) is available to Neighbourhood Watch Associations / Schemes in England & Wales which have been formally registered with, and approved by, their local police authority as an authorised Neighbourhood Watch Association/Scheme.

This scheme is managed by the National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) working in conjunction with CaSE Insurance. Cover is underwritten by Ansvar Insurance Company Limited.
Your current Neighbourhood Watch Public Liability Insurance (PLI) Policy is due to expire on 31 March 2009. We are delighted to inform you that we have been asked once more to work in conjunction with the NCVO in managing the scheme for 2009/10, and we are preparing to release renewal invitations, subject to confirmation by the Home Office.

We appreciate that this may leave you with little time to make arrangements for your renewal; as a result, your Insurers, Ansvar, have agreed that holders of existing Policies due to expire on 31 March 2009 will be given 15 days 'period of grace' (in other words, up to 15 April 2009 inclusive) during which you may still undertake your renewals without Policy coverage being lapsed or otherwise affected.

As soon as we are able to, you will be sent an electronic Renewal Invitation to this email address.

The renewal invitation will invite you to go on line to renew your policy. Remember that the information you will need at that time will be:

  • Username and Password, and your Policy Number: These will be provided to you in the Renewal Invitation.
  • Your Police Reference: The Renewal Invitation will remind you of the reference you used at last Policy renewal, but if this has changed during the Policy period, make sure you have your new reference to hand.

Keep a look out for further information regarding your renewal.
